The Sondgroth whole home remodel in palm desert

An intriguing and sophisticated transformation of classic desert style home to an elegant blend of creative form and function.

The secluded location of this estate was easily one of the greatest highlights to working on this project. This property was built up against the Santa Rosa Mountains, high up in Cahuilla Hills offering gorgeous views of the city lights and frequent visits by the regal Bighorn Sheep that are known to our Valley but many aren’t lucky enough to witness in their natural habitat. We were hired by our out-of-state clients to perform a complete interior remodel of their second home, working side-by-side with the clients and their designer to create an updated and personalized feel for their home. Sondgroth boasts 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, 4,066 square feet, tennis court and infinity pool with waterfall.

There was a substantial change to each room of this home: new cabinetry throughout, new flooring, showers, sinks, laundry room….the list goes on and on. We reconfigured the kitchen and master bath layouts to best suit the needs of our clients, installing high end countertops by Cambria and specially selected tile variations throughout. We built a large, open fireplace to the sunken living room and revamped the existing fireplace in the master bedroom to compliment the newly constructed living room fireplace. This was one of those projects that provides an environment for creativity and collaboration which makes what we do that much more rewarding. We were pleased to provide a final product our clients will enjoy for years to come.

Combining bold patterns with a rustic but modern farmhouse style gives this home a stunning presence with unique character in this desert setting. Each room boasting a neutral tone and beautifully contrasting patterns that can easily lift your spirits as you enter.

Wide open and spacious rooms provide a generous amount of space for comfortable entertaining. Thoughtfully planned with plenty of natural light fills the rooms with sunshine and magnificent views of this remotely placed desert home.

When the difference is in the details... every one matters. The iron accented lighting, the antique wash on the cabinetry, the rough cut wood beams contrasting a generous use of neutral toned stone in a see-through fireplace and magnificently worn hardwood floors give this home that extra splash of class.

A modern, rustic farmhouse style appeal that blends perfectly with the desert color palette and natural surroundings
